BIMBACHE EXTREM CASTILLA Y LEÓN, the most important Spanish adventure race and one of the most recognized Worldwide, that includes one vacancy to the World circuit for Adventure Race World Series 2008 of Brasil, will take place between May 11th and 18th this year.

will take place in the autonomous region of Castilla y León, situated at the North of Madrid. The race will pass through the provinces of Segovia, Burgos and Valladolid.

In its 6th anniversary, this raid will maintain some of it main weapons to return to be the race that every body want to run:

• Adventure race for mixed teams of four members, with duration from 3 to 5 days, with the only category of Non-Stop.
• Raid without assistance, realized this one for the organization, which makes very much cheaper the costs of the teams, beside equalizing the zones of assistance between teams with better or worse sponsorship.
• The inscriptions have a cost of 2.000 Euros before February 1st and 2.400 after this date.
• The inscription will include all the transfers from and to the airport of Madrid, accommodation in Hotel before and after the Raid, all the logistics and assistances of raid, maps of the race, etc…
• Important prize of 30.000 dollars for the first 5 classified teams.

One year more the Bimbache Extrem Castilla y León will be protected by the Spanish Federation of Orientation, FEDO, and the Top Council of Sports, CSD, for what the competitors who haven’t got the annual license of raids Fedo will have to process one of race with the organization.

SCHEDULE FOR BIMBACHE EXTREM 2008

• May 11th,arrival of the teams at Madrid – Barajas’ airport and transfer to the Hotel Venta Juanilla 4****sup. (an hour of distance).
• May 11th at 21.30h, brotherly dinner in the Hotel Venta Juanilla. May 12th at 8 am, breakfast in the Hotel.
• May 12th, from 9.00 to 14.00h, inspection of gear and accreditations.
• May 12th at 19.00h, opening ceremony and presentation of the Raid.
• May 12th at 21.00h, briefing and handing out of race maps.
• May 13th at 7 am, breakfast in the Hotel and transfer to the Start.
• May 13th at 9.00h, start of Bimbache Extrem 2008 in the city of Segovia, 40 minutes from the Hotel.
• May 15th at 20.00h, arrival of the first teams at the Finish Line inside the Peñafiel’s Castle, province of Valladolid.
• May 17th at 14.00h, arrival of the last teams to de Finish Line.
• May 17th at 21.00h, closing ceremony, proyection of video and photos and awarding of prizes in Peñafiel.
• May 18th at 11.00h, departure by bus from the Hotel to Madrid’s airport.
• May 18th at 13.00, arrival of the buses at Madrid-Barajas airport.
